Interesting, I set up my dual quad mac pro in the middle of the room and got ready for my first live digital figure drawing session. The experience left me a little unsatisfied, but I feel this is because it was a true learning experience, and I am already accustomed to the comfort of working within my established boundaries as opposed to challenging myself. That being said, I came away with a number of drawings , which though less than polished are very good studies.
The above 10 minute drawing original is 60 mgb in RGB. When you create digitally, your work ideally should have sufficient resolution for it to be of lasting value to you moving forward. It is important to work at a decent scale. This image would have integrity at billboard size. However it would look just the same, which is the point, in most cases, (in this case, not so good). : )
5 minute sketch. I hope to have the time to work some of these studies further. I shall post them when I do.
